Every Tuesday evening – until the end of September – we show the most impressive, moving and controversial movies on our city beach on the NDSM Wharf. On a beach chair with a drink in your hand you’ll be sucked into the big screen.

Caught Stealing (2025) at Pllek (Amsterdam Noord, NDSM-Wharf)

New York, 1998. Hank Thompson (Austin Butler) was once a baseball talent of considerable promise, but that dream is long gone. Now he whiles away his days as a bartender on the Lower East Side, with a simmering drinking problem and little else to show for it. Everything changes when his eccentric neighbour Russ (Matt Smith) asks him to look after his cat. An innocent favour that lands Hank in the middle of a deadly clash between Russian gangsters, an ice-cold detective (Regina King) and a mysterious Puerto Rican (Bad Bunny). Director Darren Aronofsky (Requiem for a Dream, Black Swan) recreates the grimy, dangerous New York of the nineties with palpable relish in this adrenaline-fuelled crime comedy. A film that will make you laugh, right up until it hurts.

Please note: The film will only take place if it is dry. We will provide sufficient seating, bean bags and blankets! On the day of the film, around 1:00 PM, we will communicate on our channels Instagram channel and the website whether the film will definitely take place.
