Kate Dix's work brings together the present with tradition. As a visual artist, she explores a balance between heritage and individuality. She translates Surinamese influences into contemporary figures, through the use of bold colours that immediately catch your attention.

Her Surinamese background is a constant source of inspiration, reflected in her use of bright, contrasting colours. They are not meant to clash, but aim to suggest connection and harmony.

In her MILK solo, Katie Dix brings memories from her childhood to life. With vibrant color schemes and unexpected details, she sketches a world born from the freedom and imagination of her childhood.
