Open Socials Club: moderation
How does content moderation work on open socials? Join the Open Socials Club on Thursday 10 December and help shape the future of social media. In this edition we will focus on content moderation. As always, you will also have the chance to ask questions and get practical help.
Social media have become less social. Big tech companies decide what you see, who you connect with and what happens to your data. Open socials such as Mastodon, PeerTube, Eurosky and oso.social show that things can work differently. Built on open standards, they give people more control over their online experience. You can share posts and videos, follow others and choose what appears in your feed, without a single company setting the rules.
During this edition of the Open Socials Club, we will zoom in on content moderation. Whether you're already using open socials or are completely new to them, you'll have the chance to ask questions, share experiences and get practical help. You can also try out different platforms for yourself, including Waag Futurelab's oso.social. Bring your phone or laptop and sign up!
