New Cool Collective
The eight-piece Dutch music ensemble New Cool Collective—comprising saxophonist Benjamin Herman, guitarist Rory Ronde, drummer Joost Kroon, percussionists Frank van Dok and Jos de Haas, keyboardist Willem Friede, bassist Leslie Lopez, and trumpeter David Rockefeller—has toured all over the world during its 30-year history and has performed at festivals such as Sziget, Lowlands, Noorderslag, North Sea Jazz, and the London Jazz Festival.
In recent years, the band has released an impressive series of albums. In 2025, “On Tour”, a live album capturing the energy and versatility of the New Cool Collective Big Band was added to their already extensive catalog. The band last performed at Paradiso in 2024 but is now returning after more than two years, while in the meantime, they’ve been working hard on new material.
