Museumnacht - When Bodies Speak: Self vs the Other

During Museumnacht 2025, As a extension of the Concentrated Motion, Melkweg Expo explores how we connect with one another, through conversation, movement, sound, and craft. The programme brings together different ways of relating: from creating something with someone close to you, to pausing and listening to what your body tells you. An evening to experience how relationships, identity, and creativity intertwine.
From October 23 to November 2, Melkweg Expo presents Concentrated Motion, a solo exhibition by Bodil Ouédraogo, curated by Anne Lakeman. Concentrated Motion does not show a finished story. Instead, its aim is to create movement. Stretching space to pause at moments we usually overlook, making unfamiliar connections that shift how we see. Through different media across my practice, such as fashion, movement, photography, sculpture, soundscapes, textile and video, I’ve been building alternative realities that offer different hierarchies, perspectives, and ways of being. A space within a space, in which imagination can meet reality, and morph into different media.
