Mula
The Hague rapper Mula (formerly known as Mula B) has made an undeniable contribution to the development of Dutch hip-hop through his body of work. As one of the pioneers of Dutch trap, he put the genre on the map alongside the Wilde Westen collective. His mixtape ‘Drugs & Geld Vol. 1’, in collaboration with LouiVos, went on to become a cult classic. With the four studio albums that followed, hits such as ‘Bandolero’, ‘Fully Fendi’ and ‘Faktap Broeder’, and collaborations with artists including S10, Frenna, Goldband, Sticks and Lijpe, Mula has firmly cemented his place within the Dutch music scene.
On ‘Narcopop’ (2023), Mula partly swapped his familiar trap sound for a mix of indie and electronica. The album won an Edison Award in 2024 and earned him a sold-out club tour, festival appearances at venues including Lowlands and Wildeburg, and a sold-out show at AFAS Live. With ‘DOMUS’ (2026), produced entirely by IliassOpDeBeat, Mula returns to his Hague trap roots. Inspired by the Schilderswijk, the neighbourhood where his musical identity took shape, he brings together his musical past and present on the album.
