This self-taught American Jazz pianist is known from standards like the ballad 'Misty' and considered a genius by his peers. However, he juggled a tremendously successful career with a complex private life. Through the eyes of those who were close to him, this documentary approaches one of jazz’s greatest mysteries: who was the man behind the ever-friendly smile?
