About the mini-safaris
Go on an adventure at De Ceuvel! During these Mini-Safaris, you will explore the De Ceuvel grounds together with a guide. Search for everything that lives, crawls, flies or grows between the pavement, jetties and bushes.
In a fun and accessible way, children discover just how much life can be found in their own neighbourhood. Afterwards, you are guaranteed to look at the nature around you with different eyes.
About this safari: WILLOWS
Learn how to recognise willows, discover how they grow, what makes them so special and what you can make from them yourself. We will head out with willow weaver Daan, who will make something together with you using this plant.
About this guide: Daan Goppel
Daan Goppel is a willow weaver based in Amsterdam-Noord. Among other things, he makes garden fences, play huts, living willow structures and gives workshops.
Practical info for parents and carers
Supervision: Children take part under the supervision of a parent, carer or another responsible adult. Please do not leave your child unattended – you remain responsible for them during the activity.
Fun for all ages: Parents are very welcome to join in: the safaris are fun and educational for all ages.
Where: we meet at the De Ceuvel square. Walk through the De Ceuvel entrance and you will easily spot the guide. In bad weather, we will gather under the covered area at the Maakbar.
Cancellation: Can you no longer make it? Please cancel via tessa@deceuvel.nl so someone else can take your spot.
Food and drinks: We provide free lemonade and tea.
Café de Ceuvel opens from 12:00. Do you have a Stadspas with a green dot? Then you receive a discount at the café.
