About the mini safaris
Go on an adventure at De Ceuvel! During these Mini Safaris, you’ll explore the Ceuvel grounds together with a guide. Search for everything that lives, crawls, flies or grows between the pavement, boardwalks and bushes.
In a fun and accessible way, children discover just how much life can be found in their own neighbourhood. Afterwards, you’re guaranteed to look at the nature around you with fresh eyes.
About this Safari: Ivy “How does this plant stay green all year round?”
Ivy is a climbing plant that stays green all year round. A true winter plant, its leathery leaves allow it to withstand the cold. Get to know this plant better through Plant Stories, enjoy a cosy warm drink, wash with ivy soap suds, and make your own holly pendant for the festive season.About this guide: Annet Breure
Through Plant Stories, Annet gives workshops and interactive talks in which scientific and historical information is woven together with traditional folk stories. They are told in a lively way that engages all the senses. The symbolism and uses of plants and herbs are explored from a cultural-historical perspective.
