About the mini safaris

Go on an adventure at De Ceuvel! During these Mini Safaris, you explore the Ceuvel site together with a guide. Go looking for everything that lives, crawls, flies or grows between the pavement, the jetty and the bushes.
In a cheerful and accessible way, children discover how much life is hidden in their own neighbourhood. Afterwards, you are guaranteed to look at the nature around you with different eyes.

About this Safari: Butterfly dinner – what do caterpillars eat?

Butterfly expert Nicky Castricum (butterfly garden Mot in Mokum / de Ontheemtuin) knows everything about butterflies! What do antennae actually do? Why do butterflies fly so strangely? But to get to know them better, we are mainly going to sit down at the table with them: we are going to eat what the caterpillars eat! A fun course about these cheerful pollinators that you can see a lot of, but also taste! Tasty nature education: to the table!

About this guide: Nicky van Castricum

Nicky (from butterfly garden Mot in Mokum and de Ontheemtuin) provides interactive nature education; something for everyone and above all incredibly fun and motivating for getting started with biodiversity.
