About the mini-safaris

Go on an adventure at De Ceuvel! During these Mini-Safaris, you explore the Ceuvel site together with a guide. Go in search of everything that lives, crawls, flies, or grows between the pavement, the jetty, and the shrubs.
In a cheerful and accessible way, children discover how much life is hidden in their own neighbourhood. Afterwards, you’re guaranteed to look at the nature around you with different eyes.

About this Safari: birds and nests

Put on your binoculars and head out with bird expert Randy. He’ll show you which birds are hiding here, from great crested grebes to kingfishers. In this season there are fewer leaves on the trees, so you can spot nests more easily. How do birds build a nest without hands? Grow your bird knowledge while you spot awesome birds, and get hands on by building a nest-material holder for birds.
Do you have binoculars? Bring them along! No binoculars? No problem, we have a few you can borrow.

About this guide: Randy

Randy is a Ceuvelaar and makes illustrations. Birdwatching is his passion, and he knows De Ceuvel like no one else, so he can show you exactly where birds live.
