The band was founded by J. Alvaro, bassist, guitarist and composer, in the early 2000s, when he came to Belgium after a strong career in Brazil playing with referenced artists like Altamiro Carillho, Angela Maria, Vanusa, Eduardo Araujo, Silvio Brito, Fabio Junior and many more. Mind Priority was born with the aim of valuing quality music, bringing together experienced artists, masters, and teachers with solid training and deep musical knowledge. With a strong base in Brazilian Popular Music (MPB), Jazz and Bossa Nova, Mind Priority presents a refined repertoire that also incorporates regional Brazilian rhythms and European influences, creating an elegant and authentic fusion. The band maintains a high artistic standard, with interpretations marked by sensitivity, technique, and respect for the essence of the music. As part of a new artistic phase, the band is incorporating elements of body expression into the show.
Pamela and Kleber, in addition to their musical roles, are introducing choreography on stage, bringing a new dynamism to the performances. This evolution also includes the introduction of Capoeira, with the participation of Master Cal Matos, whose art is now integrated into the show in an adapted form, expanding the cultural and visual experience for the audience. This is a recent innovation that marks a new moment for Mind Priority, adding movement, identity, and even more richness to its musical offering.
