After forty years of darkness, MAYHEM is celebrating its long and turbulent history with its current line-up: guitarists Teloch and Ghul, vocalist Attila Csihar, bassist Necrobutcher and drummer Hellhammer. Together, with their hellish craft, they imbue the repertoire with a technical, dissonant and ritualistic character.
Since its formation in 1984, MAYHEM has been regarded as one of the founding fathers of black metal. Albums such as ‘De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas’, ‘Grand Declaration of War’ and ‘Daemon’ demonstrate how the band continues to reinvent itself without losing its raw intensity. Their ‘Death Over Europe Part II’ tour celebrates forty years of the band’s history, bringing together old and new material in a technical and uncompromising live set.
