Marxisme School
In 1908, Alexandra Kollontai wrote about the main question that the women’s movement in Russia was facing: How do they ensure that women in Russia also benefit from the struggles of building a new political system? Even though the women’s movement has made a lot of strides since then, we see not just perpetuated inequality but continued violence toward women. Is it possible for woman to be truly free in this capitalist system? How do we work to improve the lives of people socialized as women and other oppressed genders, while acknowledging the need to pull out this broken system from the roots. Come to our study session to discuss the position of women in Dutch society and how the struggle for women is intimately linked with the struggle to change the whole system. Study Session on Introduction to the book The Social Basis of the Woman Question 📅 Sunday, July 19 📍 NieuwLand- Pieter Nieuwlandstraat 93-95, 1093 XN Amsterdam ⏰ 12:00-14:00 📕 Reading the material beforehand is encouraged.
