Make your own protest sign
Come to De Ceuvel to create your own protest sign for the “De Rode Lijn” demonstration. We’ll be doing this two days before the demo, on Sunday, October 5. This is a moment to come together and make our voices heard for a more just world. Even if you can’t join the demonstration yourself, you can still make a sign — someone else will carry it for you.
We’ll provide materials such as cardboard, paint, and markers, but feel free to bring your own if you have them. When you arrive, check in with Maud — she’ll hand you the materials and help you get started.
About the demonstration
We do not accept that all red lines have already been crossed — as if they do not exist. From the capital we will show the whole of the Netherlands and the rest of the world that people in the Netherlands demand concrete political action for the Palestinians. The genocide in Gaza must stop.
On Sunday, October 5, thousands of people wearing red will form a red line in Amsterdam. The caretaker Schoof cabinet has sunk far below both a moral and legal threshold. Despite Israel’s ongoing violations of international humanitarian law, our government refuses to draw a red line and take action to end impunity and complicity. In doing so, it also ignores the call of a large majority of people in the Netherlands. We will not accept this! That is why together we are drawing “The Red Line” again.
The action is an initiative of a broad coalition of social organizations and thousands of concerned citizens. More than 15,000 people have already registered.
