Mail for Sil bewijst dat moderne Americana/Folk nog vernieuwend en anders kan klinken. Hun nummers zijn pakkende, weelderige, stoere maar tedere composities met fantasierijke teksten. Hun muziek staat in het teken van verhalen vertellen, en het verkennen van tegenstrijdige thema’s zoals heimwee en toebehoren, isolatie en verbinding, zelfsabotage en heling. Voor fans van Karen Dalton, Fairport Convention, Buck Meek, Laura Marling, en Sharon von Etten. Na op uitverkochte podia te spelen met o.a. Coos, FEMI en Jacob Drescher tijdens hun triple-bill folk tour, zijn ze het komende halfjaar van plan drie gloednieuwe singles uit te brengen.

Sean Gascoigne
Sean Gascoigne is like a musical octopus; he plays guitars, drums, harmonica, sp404 and sings all at the same time. Known for is one-man-band act but also does an occasional surprise show with a full band. His music is fast, slow, loud, soft, pretty and ugly, his lyrics are bitter-sweet with a cynical and dark edge. His shows are funny, awkward, sarcastic and real. All of his music he created all on his own in his fully analog studio, playing all the instruments himself, creating layer upon layer of sound on his tape machines. Sean Gascoigne, the sound Painter.
