Born and raised in Córdoba, Spain, Susana Raya is a Spanish singer, guitarist, improviser, and composer based in Amsterdam. Her musical curiosity has led her to explore a variety of genres, pushing the boundaries of jazz and singer-songwriter traditions.
Mariandoro:“I choose to play with Susana, because her playing is so tastefully relaxed and mature from all the different styles she has been playing throughout her career.
Her music always feels to me like and ode to music itself, and a playful exploration in the same time.
Her songs are crafted in such a way that they show a certain wisdom about life through her lyrics, and knowledge about what musically just works the best, so it lands right in the musical heart.
I like her sound on the guitar, its warm and insightful, grounded, never too much, the same I feel in her singingvoice.
She is a free and playful spirit , which is an inspiration to me as well.”

Susana Raya: zangeres, gitariste, singer-songwriter, improvisator
