Live Canvases
Live Canvases is an immersive concert where contemporary chamber music meets live visual art. Alongside Dianto Reed Quintet, visual artist Maryleen Schiltkamp will paint three live paintings inspired by selected repertoire, creating a dialogue between sound and image. The programme features commissioned works written for the quintet by Primo Ish-Hurwitz, Julian Schneemann, Arjan Linker, Ramin Amin, Fuensanta Méndez, Jaime Peña, and the world premiere of a new work by Max Knigge. Known for their dynamic stage presence and innovative performances, Dianto offers a unique concert experience in which each painting is created live during the performance, inviting the audience to discover how the music takes shape as images.
