The kitchen of Qibli Bahri is catering journeys with Egyptian cuisine. Qibli – قبلي, south: towards the sun-baked kitchens of Upper Egypt, with slow-cooked and deeply spiced food. Bahri - بحري, north: towards the sea breeze of the Delta and the Mediterranean coast, where things move lightly, brightly, with the tide. A cuisine shaped by movement, agriculture, water and the stubborn generosity of "Itfaddal ma’ana" come and join us in sharing food with each other.
For his first pop-up at ours, Mody serves us one of his favourite dishes, ‘Koshari’ – or, as he likes to call it, ‘the people’s dish’. it’s layered, carb-loaded, and it’s absolute comfort. So come hungry and bring a friend or four:)
