Jouko & Camille Maria

Jouko & Camille Maria

Amsterdam native Jouko doesn't like thinking in boxes or genres. Former Red Light Radio resident, currently hosting monthly shows on Mutant Radio (Tbilisi, GE) and Echobox Radio (Amsterdam, NL). Besides the monthly airwaves bizz, he’s also pushing wax at Red Light Records since a couple of years.
Camille Maria is a skilled record selector and co-curator at SOW, the DIY event production crew behind the dub-influenced series Dusty Cabinets, the intimate festival 53100, and a wide range of experimental music concerts. With years of obsessively collecting records, he has shaped a distinctive sound: His selections weave driving grooves, heavy bass lines, deep chaotic atmospheres, and playful rhythms, moving effortlessly between vintage wave, post-punk, dub, contemporary left-field electronics, techno, and drum & bass. Too weird for the clubbers and too clubby for the weirdos, Camille Maria draws inspiration from underground dance floors, small concert halls, grimy bars, and radio booths, shaping a distinctive sound that thrives on the edge of the unexpected.
