Joep Grotendorst trio

Joep Grotendorst is a Dutch jazz saxophonist currently in his final year at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, where he has studied with Ben van Gelder, Jasper Blom and Simon Rigter among others. He is leading his own quartet with whom he recently won the Prinses Christina Jazz Concours where he played some of his original compositions. He played in acclaimed youth orchestras such as the Jong Metropole and the NJJO and is an in-demand sideman in various projects. For this occasion, Joep is paying homage to the classic saxophone trio made famous by some of his heroes such as Sonny Rollins and Joe Henderson. Accompanying him will be Simon Osuna on bass and Aviv Maya on drums.
