Jerry Cantrell returns to Melkweg in 2025 with his latest album 'I Want Blood'! You know Cantrell as the guitarist, singer and songwriter of the legendary grunge band Alice In Chains. In the 90s, this band made an impression with their dark, heavy metal-inspired sound and they grew into one of the most influential names in the grunge scene.

After solo albums such as 'Boggy Depot' and 'Degradation Trip Volumes 1 & 2', Cantrell now releases his fourth album, 'I Want Blood'. For the production he worked together with Joe Barresi (Tool, Queens of the Stone Age), and on the record you hear contributions from heavyweights such as Duff McKagan, Robert Trujillo and Greg Puciato.

Velvet Rush is supported by Liveurope: the first pan-European initiative supporting concert venues in their efforts to promote emerging European music.
