Jazz on Wednesday invites: Pietro Mirabassi

Initially influenced by traditional jazz and tenor saxophonists such as Ben Webster, Zoot Sims, and Stan Getz, Pietro Mirabassi is an Italian jazz saxophonist based in the Netherlands. He is an active presence in the Dutch jazz scene, performing regularly in clubs and festivals, particularly with his collaborative project Black Thursdays.

Alongside his performance activity, he records and teaches saxophone in the Netherlands. In 2025, he took part in the prestigious Tribeca Jazz Institute program in New York, further deepening his connection with the city’s jazz scene.
