Behind the group Jacht is a duo. Hannah and Wiebe are optimists who see beauty in almost everything—except the state of the world. Jacht captures what it feels like to be young in an alienating political reality, wrapping it in familiar themes like longing, nostalgia, powerlessness, anger, and hope. Their lyrics balance between personal insights and sharp political statements—sometimes dreamy and melancholic, sometimes raw and outspoken. The Amsterdam-based group blends Dutch-language indie pop and protest folk into a euphoric yet melancholic signature sound. Think the intensity of Fontaines D.C., the harmonies of LOW, the poetry of Roosbeef and the dreaminess of Alice Phoebe Lou. The vocal harmonies of Hannah Veldhoen and Wiebe Heetvelt form the heart of Jacht.

Jacht has released two EPs, participated in the Popronde, and is currently working on their debut album. For fans of: Roosbeef, LOW, and Fontaines D.C.
