In memory of Kees Gelderblom music concert

Dutch guitarist and composer from Den Haag, Kees Gelderblom, was known as one of the “Brazilian music ambassadors” in the Netherlands. He was one of the pioneers of this music here and inspired many generations of musicians. Unfortunately, Kees left us in the summer of 2024. However, his love remains, and he left many beautiful compositions for us. As the love that Kees planted in us continues to grow, Brazilian singer Ana Beck and guitarist Joy Goh, one of Kees’ disciples, had the idea to organize a concert to remember our dear friend and mentor — the one and only Kees Gelderblom. On this evening, Ana and Joy will gather some of the musicians that Kees used to work with often: Alaor Soares (drums), Jura Gomes (bass), and Marijn van der Linden (cavaquinho). The musicians will perform some of Kees’ compositions, pieces he wrote for friends, and tunes that hold stories and memories of playing together with him. This evening is to celebrate the life of our one and only loving Kees Gelderblom.
