In Color
In Color came into being during a snowstorm in Nashville. Holden Coltz, Matthew Hastings, Val Hoyt and Miles Laderman found themselves snowed in together for a few days and came to a fairly logical conclusion: they had to start a band. The four had been friends for years and had played in various bands separately, but had never made music together.
For a year, they kept In Color to themselves. They rehearsed, wrote songs and developed a sound that straddled alternative pop and rock, featuring grand choruses and plenty of guitar work. Influences such as Coldplay, Kings of Leon and U2 are audible, without the band clearly leaning in any one direction. In 2025, their debut single ‘Headlights’ was released, followed by tracks including ‘Jet Lag Mouth’ and ‘High’. That same year, In Color released their first EP, ‘Snow Day’, named after the weekend when it all began.
