Illie
Illie is a Moroccan-Dutch rapper from Heerlen, with roots in Casablanca. After living in Morocco for a number of years, he settled in the Netherlands, where he continued to develop his musical career. His breakthrough came with ‘Gekke Gunz’, which quickly went viral and racked up millions of streams. He followed this up with ‘GLOCK’, a collaboration with Jinho 9, which again garnered millions of streams and reached the charts. ILLIE also collaborated with Ronnie Flex on the track ‘Flemming’ and was nominated for the FunX Next Best Award.
With his raw voice, Moroccan roots and strong connection to Heerlen, ILLIE has managed to create a distinctive sound of his own. In a short space of time, he has carved out a unique place for himself within the Dutch hiphop scene.
