Artemise Ploegaerts
'Disfiguring Jane B’
In this work, Artémise Ploegaerts focuses on the way with which some feminine stereotypes subtly permeate the body.
Remembering a song she used to listen as a teenager, she reflects on the influence of French icon Jane Birkin on her movement and gait.
Karolina Rupp + Irene Charlotte Jahn
12 o’clock
This work developed out of our research into the agency and memory of objects, their textures and tastes. How do we relate to each other through what we feel, touch, and smell? 12 o’clock is a participatory performance bringing forward biographic, domestic and playful elements. Participants are invited to freely experiment and engage with what is at hand. This is the first time that Karolina and Irene are presenting this work in progress to a public audience.
Irene Charlotte Jahn is a visual artist, educator and explorer interested in all things bodily and sensory. Karolina Rupp works in visual and performance art focusing on more-than-human agency through the (human) body. Both artists have roots in Austria and are based in The Hague. This research-centred performance is their first work as a duo.
Eleni Vasilonikolou
System Joy is a performance lecture that explores the intersection of systems, thought, and movement. Sliding through the layers of choreography and movement landscapes, it investigates how far we can think within the confines of a system and how far a system can push the boundaries of its own structure. The performance blurs the lines between mind and body, logic and improvisation.
