This Museumnight, GMO enters the kitchen at TestTafel. For one night, our chefs are developing a five-item menu using genetically modified ingredients, turning a subject usually discussed through science, regulation and controversy into something you can actually taste.
What do we put in our bodies, and what changes when the food in front of us has been modified before it reaches the plate? Take a seat, sip and taste the experimental menu at restaurant TestTafel, serving specially crafted, genetically modified food and drinks. And find out how far are you willing to mutate?
TestTafel
TestTafel is a plant-based restaurant, creative hub and development kitchen located in Mediamatic's greenhouse. With a new multi-course menu every week, experimentation is built into its approach: local and seasonal ingredients become a testing ground for new dishes and ideas about how food systems could work differently.
For Museumnight, that experimentation turns to genetic modification. TestTafel is developing a special five-item menu using GMO ingredients, bringing the night's questions about intervention, modification and the future of food directly to the table.
