Games for Cities Showcase
Play the City invites urban practitioners, designers, researchers and curious citizens to join a public testing session of new city games developed during the Games for Cities Training Spring Edition at Pakhuis de Zwijger. During this open session, participants will experience and test several prototype city games created by an international group of urban professionals over the course of an intensive four-day training. The games explore how playful, rule-based simulations can help cities address complex urban challenges such as housing, mobility, climate adaptation and collective decision-making. The evening offers a rare opportunity to step into the role of city stakeholders, from planners and developers to citizens and policymakers and experiment with strategies in a collaborative game environment. Your participation will directly contribute to refining the games and the Play the City methodology, which has been applied in cities around the world to facilitate dialogue and co-create urban solutions.
