FUNKIFIED De zoveelste editie van een party vol oude en nieuwe funky music. DJ Sorge & DJ Oscar hanteren een ruime definitie van funk: als het maar swingt en een funky ritme heeft. Vooraf is boven obscure en mindere bekende funk te horen en nadien is beneden de kans om te dansen op de meer bekendere funky klanken van funkmuziek in de ruime zin van het woord.
Eerst speelt De Kraters featuring Gezzebelle een electro mix van “witte” funknummers zoals LCD soundsystem en soul/funk a la Betty Davis.

De Kraters is an Amsterdam based minimal elektro outfit, with a passion for ancient analoge gear and the bold electro of the early 80’s. Everything is played live, without the use of laptops and other digital crap, firing up the drummachines, hitting keys and tweaking knobs.

This evening de Kraters welcome singer Gezzebelle into a funk driven elektro set; for a good dose of peace, unity, love and having fun. The Kraters are really looking forward to this show, just imagine LCD Soundsystem had Betty Davis over for the night!

DJ OSCAR Ervaren Amsterdamse DJ, begonnen met new wave in de eighties. Draaide de laatste 25 jaar regelmatig in lokaties als Paradiso, Nieuwe Anita, Sissi’s, Doka.

DJ Sorge
Music, mixers and minds have no secrets for DJ Sorge. Long time DJ at Ruigoord, Melkweg, Paradiso, Trance Buddha, Van Gogh Museum, Groninger Museum and De Nieuwe Anita he knows how to settle the right tunes at the right times.

At the funk party Funkified, Sorge is certainly in top form once again, having gone through his collection of old and new, fat and dry, slick and fast funk on vinyl and picked out the gems—especially for the dance enthusiast who isn't afraid of a syncope more or less.
