A well reknown Jazzpianist on the Dutch scene for many years. Daan Herweg worked on the highest level as a player and composer with major chartbreaking pop acts but also stretching to free improv and everything in between. Recently he has clearly found his own voice. The (inter)national press labels his music as mainstream jazz, it is touching, sometimes sing-along, colorful and narrative, while the improvisations can derail and be the cutting edge. The palette of influences ranges from Debussy and Herbie Hancock, to Marcel Proust and gangsta rap. Daan is currently playing with the quintessential jazz line up: The piano trio.
