We are a modern jazz band based in Amsterdam, started in September 2023 at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. From love songs to dance grooves, we share the excitement about improvisatory musical connection and our unique soundscape from the first time we played together.

Meet Big Times Groove, your new favorite funktastic band, straight out of Amsterdam. We’re all about good vibes and great music. With Pedro Mendes, Gabriel Timar, Rafael Motilla, Juyoung Byun, and Finn Hughes laying down the groove, plus new members joining us soon, every night with us is a big time. We blend our own original tunes with classic funk, R&B, and modern hip-hop, making every performance something special.
