Experience the magic of outdoor cinema at Pllek, with the best view of the skyline of Amsterdam. Every Tuesday evening – ’til the end of September – we show the most impressive, moving and controversial movies on our city beach on the NDSM-wharf. On a beach chair with a drink in your hand and with headphones on, you’ll be sucked into the big screen.
Fancy a bite to eat beforehand? Choose a combo ticket! Enjoy the vegetarian main course of the day and the open-air film for €32.50. Come in from 17:30, show your ticket to the staff, and enjoy your meal. Drinks and other food are at your own expense!

The United States, early twentieth century. Miner Daniel Plainview (Daniel Day-Lewis) receives a mysterious tip about a town in the West where oil is supposedly gushing from the ground. Daniel and his son travel to this town and start an oil empire. He entices farmers with talk of the wealth that the oil under their fields can bring, but preacher Eli Sunday refuses to be swayed. Human values like love, hope, and faith are thwarted by corruption, deceit, and the abundance of oil. Daniel Day-Lewis won an Oscar for this film!
