New music from a Dutch rapper and musician

With a healthy dose of humour, self-deprecation and sharp lyrics, Elmer deliberately plays with expectations surrounding gender, sound and appearance, thereby challenging the norm. In 2021, the rapper and musician made her breakthrough when her track ‘Je Vader’ went viral. Since then, she has performed at major festivals such as Lowlands, Pukkelpop and ESNS, and in 2025 she won an Edison Award for ‘Best Newcomer’. Her latest album, ‘MAN, OH MAN’, is due for release on 18 September. On the album, Elmer raps about masculinity in all its forms. With the tracks ‘GEEN BEEST’ and ‘ALLE MANNEN ZIJN GEMEEN TEGEN MIJ’, she offers a sneak preview of what’s to come.
