Duo Vimári
Klara Mikuž (2004) and Christophe Pütz (2004), both studying at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, present their newly founded violin–marimba duo, Duo Vimári. The marimba’s resonant and color-rich sound are complemented by the violin’s lyrical expressivity and versatility. The duo expands the traditional chamber music format through the integration of electronic sound tape, exploring new dimensions of timbre and interaction.
Their program ranges from works by established composers such as Steven Snowden and Lyle Mays, alongside their own arrangements of works by Franz Liszt and Béla Bartók to a newly commissioned piece by Munich-based composer Yann Windeshausen (2002), bringing fresh perspectives to both contemporary and classical music.
