Violinist Joris van Rijn presents Jacobien Rozemond (violin, voice) and Renée Bekkers (accordion) on the occasion of the release of their new CD, featuring early music, tango, new compositions and poetry.

Through a blend of old and new music and poetry, Jacobien Rozemond (violin & voice) and Renée Bekkers (accordion) explore the simplicity, but also the fleeting nature, of bliss. Benjamin de Murashkin composed I’m Nobody, Who Are You? especially for Duo Rozemond & Bekkers, setting texts by the poet Emily Dickinson.

Let yourself be carried away, drawn into a trance and moved by a beautiful combination of Baroque music by Castello, van Eyck and Merula, performed with violinist Joris van Rijn; serene works by Ernest Bloch and Albert van Veenendaal; and exhilarating tangos by Piazzolla and Matthias Kadar, who has composed a contemporary tango especially for the duo.
