Together with Heat, an Agency that represents filmmakers, we present a bi-monthly movie night curated by their wide array of passioned creators, designed for everyone looking to connect and be inspired. Every edition will center around a unique host and their inspiring guests; they’ll select a main film that showcases what they are all about and motivates them within their creative field. And they will take you on a two-hour journey into their vision.
This edition is hosted by Dennis Vanderbroeck, with Frédéric Tchengas' Dior and I from 2014 as the main film. This documentary offers a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of Raf Simons’ highly anticipated first Haute Couture collection as the iconic brand’s new Artistic Director. From conception through to its ultimate exhibition, the process is shown to be a true labour of love by the stoic Simons and a dedicated, charming, and often humorous team of collaborators.
Dennis on the film: "Dior and I is a documentary that for me showcases fashion as an art form with Raf Simons, the then just-appointed creative director, at the centre of this film. The celebration of craft, the insight into the back of this world and the uncertainty that comes with it is why I love this film and fashion as an art form. When I need inspiration or experience a restless sense of uncertainty I turn this one on."
