Dinner concert: Carlos Ayuso Trio

A drummer, composer, and bandleader based in Amsterdam, Carlos has spent years immersed in the Dutch jazz scene, contributing to a wide range of projects as a sought-after sideman. After years of helping bring other artists’ visions to life, he now turns his focus toward his own creative voice through a trio project that places personality, interaction, and curiosity at its core. Rather than defining itself by instrumentation alone, the ensemble thrives on the unique character of its members, embracing spontaneity, playfulness, and a deep commitment to collective exploration.

Drawing from a foundation in straight-ahead jazz, the trio treats every performance as an open-ended conversation where genres shift, traditional roles dissolve, and musical ideas evolve in real time.
