De Hardheid just can’t resist. The Amsterdam ska-punk group will be back in action once again in 2026. The band, which pulled the plug in 2009, has since achieved cult status. De Hardheid was born in the mid-90s in Amsterdam-West, when a few high school friends decided to start a band. After experimenting with metal and hip hop, the group eventually took the ska route.

Even though the band has long since stopped playing, their website is gone, and only a neglected Facebook page remains, fans still manage to track them down. And so, the urge to play proves unstoppable. Though the band members are now older, once they step on stage they transform back into the young rebels they once were, with infectious songs and sharp lyrics. So, grab your chance to see these old rascals live one more time—or finally for the very first time.
