What is the Community Kitchen?
This autumn and winter, Café de Ceuvel is once again organizing a series of evenings around the theme of fundamental rights. We offer a warm meal, followed by an in-depth program. Sharing a meal has been an essential form of connection since time immemorial, something that is especially important today. As a sustainable creative hub, we believe it is important to make our programs as accessible as possible to every audience and every budget. That is why this evening costs only as much as you can spare.

What’s on the programme?
This year, fundamental rights are the common thread running through the In-Depth Stories. It is important that we all know our fundamental rights well. This goes beyond simply reading a dry legal code: our fundamental rights are intended to protect certain shared values. At each edition of the Community Kitchen this autumn, we take a closer look at a different fundamental right, such as the right to privacy, freedom of expression, and so on. We are guided by experts and people with lived experience in the field, who bring these rights back to their core. What are our rights really about? And what is at stake when a fundamental right is under threat?
During these gatherings, we want to create an open and accessible atmosphere where questions and conversation are encouraged.
