Community Circle: The Power of Vulnerability in a Fractured World

On 22 March at 14:00, we’re gathering for our next Community Circle at Nieuwland to dive into the power of vulnerability—not as a buzzword or something to “master,” but as a real, human experience that challenges systems of control and oppression.

Fascism and authoritarianism thrive on fear—fear of the unknown, fear of difference, fear of vulnerability. We see it in the ways power is wielded to repress, to control, to avoid confronting our shared humanity. But real strength isn’t about becoming impervious to harm. It’s about acknowledging our vulnerability and facing it head-on, with honesty and compassion.

In this circle, we’ll dig into:

  • How fear of vulnerability influences our actions and behaviors
  • The practice of witnessing each other without judgment
  • How to hold and transform our fear, turning it into real strength and collective power

This isn’t about finding ways to armor up—it’s about understanding that our fragility is part of what connects us. By embracing vulnerability, we can move towards deeper solidarity and the collective liberation we need to face the world with strength.

Join us on 22 March at 14:00 at Nieuwland.
This workshop is offered by donation, because we believe in accessible spaces for all.
