Together with ethical entrepreneurs, scientists, and an inexhaustible sense of optimism, their mission is nothing less than making global warming reversible. During Warming Up Festival, you’ll get the chance to contribute firsthand... by becoming a landowner.
Would you like to own land? Land ownership is one of the keys in the climate crisis. What if we collectively buy back farmland from banks and investors, restore its health, and let it capture carbon again while producing nourishing food? By the end of this gently theatrical evening, you may well walk away as a landowner yourself—making a tangible, structural contribution to the climate solution.
Climate Cleanup will showcase entrepreneurs already leading the way in this transition. You’ll meet pioneers such as Lenteland, Grond van Bestaan, and the Young Food Forest Farmers, whose work delivers healthy food and beautiful landscapes, tackles the nitrogen crisis, promotes climate justice, restores biodiversity, and fights climate disruption by sequestering carbon in the soil. Together, we’ll also explore the principles of regenerative finance that make these models thrive—and if you wish, you can become part of them right there and then.
At tipping points like now—when warming threatens to exceed 1.5°C—restoring farmland is no longer just a good idea, but a necessity for countless plant and animal species to survive. That’s why, on this evening, we’ll make it happen together.
