CineHaus Livingroom filmclub

During this edition of the Filmclub we will watch a short film we made this year. This short film is a low-budget first sketch of what might become a larger project and I would love to hear what you think.

Like many I have felt a growing resistance towards AI. Not just from the fear of losing my job, but from the fear of losing our humanity. A Meditation on AI Slob is about escapism. The fear that, as the world becomes too much, we slip into passivity… and isolate ourselves even more. The AI in the film was inspired by the endless doomscrolling on apps like Instagram and TikTok, the kind that’s made to be irresistible. Those AI-generated videos feel like the peak of mindless consumption, even though you can sense something is off. I’m drawn to their nightmarish quality. That uncanny valley feeling.
