The title could be a score for beginnings and endings, suggesting the fleeting nature of encounters, both in music and dance as in life. What is left behind and what resonates after departures?
With this performance we celebrate re-encounters and invite new ones, with sound and movement as our medium. In a time when human connection seems to be the most important thing to cherish, we want to invite you an ode to body, sound, listening, gatherings, old and new friendships.
The evening is curated by dancer Manuela Lucia Tessi in close collaboration with Berlin/Schwerin-based flutist Friederike Wendorf, alongside artists from Amsterdam and Italy. For over a decade, Manuela and Friederike have cultivated a shared practice across cities, developing the performance series Musiktanznulldreissig in Berlin—an ongoing platform for real-time composed music and dance presented at Club der Polnischen Versager and other underground venues. Their collaboration is rooted in a sustained dialogue that transcends distance, embracing separation in space and time as part of an evolving continuity. Along the way, they continue to interlace longstanding and new artistic encounters, weaving an ever-expanding network of voices into their shared practice of sound and movement.
