Your degree is within reach, a significant milestone! But as graduation approaches, so does the big question: What’s next? How do you land your first job? How do you stand out as a recent graduate? At the Career Festival, the closing event of the Career Carousel, you will discover how to make the transition from student to professional.

The transition to the job market can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. The Career Festival offers a mix of practical workshops, personal coaching and inspiring activities, all designed to prepare you for the job market. You’ll gain the tools, insights and confidence you need to set yourself apart and take that first step into your career with a solid foundation.

Workshops

• How to make a strong CV (15:00-16:00)
  Your CV is often the first thing employers see, so make it count! In this session, you’ll learn how to showcase your skills authentically, tailor your CV to impress employers, and boost your chances of landing that interview and ultimately securing that job.
• LinkedIn: The basics (16:00-17:00)
  Discover why LinkedIn is crucial for your career and learn how to create a standout profile. You'll understand its role in networking, how to present yourself effectively, and how to use LinkedIn to connect with professionals and gain valuable insights into your field.
• Ace your job interview (17:00-18:00)
  You only get one chance to make a strong first impression. In this session, you’ll uncover what drives you, sharpen your answers, and learn how to present yourself with confidence. Practice with real scenarios, get direct feedback, and walk into your next interview ready to stand out.
• From idea to business canvas (18:30-19:30)
  Thinking about freelancing or starting your own project after graduation? In this workshop, you’ll turn your idea into a clear plan using a business canvas. Define your audience, value and revenue model, guided by an experienced business coach.

  Get personalised, one-to-one feedback on your CV from a career professional. Discover what works, what could be improved, and how to stand out to employers. Great preparation for your next application.
• Personal career coaching (15:30-19:30)
  Get one-on-one guidance from a career coach who’ll help you define your goals and plan your next steps. Whether you’re uncertain about your future or looking for your ideal job, the coach will give you the direction you need.
• Humanities Venture Lab: start your own business (15:00-18:00)
  Get practical advice and guidance from an expert who’ll help you take the first steps in starting your own business or launching a freelance career. Learn what it takes to become a successful entrepreneur or freelancer.
• Tips for pursuing a PhD (16:00-19:00)
  Gain valuable insights from a current PhD candidate who will explain the process of pursuing a PhD. Whether you're unsure if it’s right for you or already exploring your options, this coaching gives you the tools to take the next step.
