THIRD EDITION WG FILM FESTIVAL TIJD: KAIROS

Na een succesvolle tweede editie keert het WG Filmfestival TIJD dit najaar terug met een nieuw thema: Kairos.

Op zaterdag 19 september presenteren kunstenaars, en filmmakers en van atelierWG, LAB111 en Tetterode korte en lange films in drie thematische programma’s: Present Time, Borrowed Time en Deep Time. De films voeren langs verschillende landen, landschappen en persoonlijke geschiedenissen. Ze raken aan herinnering, identiteit, natuur en de cyclische bewegingen. Elk werk opent een eigen ervaring van tijd.

De programma’s worden afgewisseld met twee korte lezingen: door filosoof Joke Hermsen, gespecialiseerd in het thema tijd en auteur van het boek Kairos, en door Loek Schönbeck, filosoof en beeldend kunstenaar van atelierWG. Na ieder filmblok zijn er korte gesprekken met de filmmakers.

Following a successful second edition, the WG Film Festival TIJD returns this fall with a new theme: Kairos. On Saturday 19 September, artists and filmmakers from atelierWG, LAB111, and Tetterode will present short and feature-length films in three thematic programs: Present Time, Borrowed Time, and Deep Time. The films take viewers on a journey through different countries, landscapes, and personal histories. They explore memory, identity, nature, and cyclical movements. Each work offers a unique experience of time.

The programs are complemented by two short lectures: one by philosopher Joke Hermsen, who specializes in the theme of time and is the author of the book *Kairos*, and one by Loek Schönbeck, a philosopher and visual artist from atelierWG. After each film block, there will be brief discussions with the filmmakers.
