The Grammy-winning artist Bilal returns to the spotlight following the success of his two album releases in 2024. The forward-thinking R&B singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Bilal is known for his versatility. This year marks the 25th anniversary of 1st Born Second. Bilal’s debut is considered one of the defining albums of the neo-soul era and features contributions from legendary producers such as J Dilla and Dr. Dre. From the very beginning, he refused to be boxed in and used his voice as a fully fledged instrument in his breakthrough hit, the love ballad “Soul Sista,” and the follow-up G-funk track “Fast Lane.”
