Bhedam in Jazz

For many years, Oene has been working on integrating the phenomenal South Indian rhythms into a jazz idiom. Since this year, he has also been teaching talented (master) students at the Advanced Rhythm department of the Conservatory of Amsterdam, who belong to the talented new generation of jazz musicians. With an ensemble of these musicians and an ensemble of fellow teacher Kristina Fuchs, he is now doing his members concert.
Expect catchy rhythms and lively melodies that move from the jazz idiom towards modern sounds and at the same time carry the sound of a folk band!
