Theodore is the name of Amsterdam bluesman Theo Sieben. Theo is a musician who has earned his spurs in pop and roots music, as a session guitarist or composer of film and theater music. As a session musician, he played slide guitar with Hennie Vrienten and toured with Douwe Bob. As a composer he mixes a rootsy blues vibe into every track. He performs acoustic blues songs in a virtuoso fingerpicking style, but always in the rhythm of the heart, performed by one man and his guitar.

His soulful voice sings over the sound of old Martin guitars, National Resonator guitars, a lapstyle Regal, or a lonesome Vega banjo. He likes to bridge the gap between old acoustic blues and ragtime, 60s revival folk, and modern blues. You can dance, singalong or listen, it’s not old, it’s double new!

Afterwards, DJ Mark wil spin some bluesy tunes in the café.
